Rapid test for the qualitative detection of hCG in urine, with the intention of detecting pregnancy.<\/span><\/span> In a normal pregnancy, hCG can be detected in both serum and urine as early as 7 to 10 days after conception.<\/span><\/span> The hCG level rises rapidly and exceeds 100 IU\/ml before the first missed menstrual period, and reaches a peak around 100-200 IU\/ml after 10-12 weeks of pregnancy.<\/span><\/span> Presence of hCG in both urine and serum shortly after fertilization, and the rapid increase in concentration early in pregnancy, is an excellent marker for early detection of pregnancy.<\/span><\/span> The test has a sensitivity of 25 IU\/ml.<\/span><\/span> The result is read after 3 minutes.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
